The
Jubilee Players were formed in 1996. There are now twelve members who will
perform on stage and many others who are strictly backstage!
In
the past, their successful format has been two performances a year. In the
spring a production comprising of one/two short sketches with a meal
served in the interval. In the autumn a full two or three act play is
produced, normally a comedy or a farce.
The
players meet every Wednesday evening at 8 o’clock in the Jubilee Hall
and are always looking to welcome 'new blood' especially young people
in and around Bratton. Come along one evening, see who they are, who does
what, and make some new friends.
They
launched a 'Friends' group a few years ago, which has been very
successful with up to sixty regular supporters paying £6.00 each per
year. This membership entitles each 'Friend' to concessionary tickets
and social activities, which includes a very enjoyable annual BBQ and all
after show parties.

The Players normally present two
productions each year in the Jubilee Hall, one in the spring and one in the
autumn.
